Fair Draw & Winner Selection
We built LuxStarRaffle on one simple principle: if you enter, you deserve a fair and transparent draw.
This page explains the winner selection process step-by-step — including how we handle free entries, late entries, prize confirmation and public evidence.
The winner may choose between two standard prize options:
- Entries are recorded per campaign (paid + free in the same pool).
- At the closing time, the entry pool is locked and finalised.
- A winner is selected by random draw from all valid entries.
- Free entries are treated exactly the same as paid entries.
- Winner status is published on the Winner Announcement page.
- Final figures are published on the Campaign Recap page after verification.
1) Every entry is recorded (one campaign pool)
Each campaign has its own entry pool. When you enter (whether paid or free), your entry is recorded against that campaign.
If you receive multiple entries, each one increases your chance of winning — and all valid entries are treated equally in the draw.
Equal treatment clause:
Free postal entries are placed into the same eligible pool as paid entries and have the same chance per entry.
There is no separate pool and no reduced weighting for free entries.
2) The pool is locked when the campaign closes
When a campaign reaches its published closing date/time, the entry pool is finalised and locked.
No late entries are added to that draw after the close time — this protects fairness.
Evidence point:
We retain internal records showing the campaign close time and the finalised entry totals for that campaign.
These records exist to support fairness and to resolve disputes if they ever arise.
3) Winner selection is random (the draw step-by-step)
Once the entry pool is locked, the winner is selected at random from the eligible entries for that campaign.
The process is designed to be simple, auditable and consistent.
Exact draw steps
- Confirm the campaign is closed and the entry pool is locked.
- Confirm the final counts (paid + free) for that specific campaign.
- Run a random selection from the full eligible pool.
- Record a draw reference (internal) and the winner’s entry reference.
- Contact the winner using the details they provided at entry.
- Confirm eligibility and identity before public confirmation.
- Publish the outcome on the Winner Announcement page.
Evidence point:
We keep internal notes of the draw timing, campaign identifiers and winner confirmation status.
We do not publish private personal data — winner announcements are typically initials + region for privacy.
4) Late entries & carry-forward entry credits
When a campaign is closed, the entry pool is locked. This protects fairness — nobody can enter a draw after the deadline.
If you visit the entry page after a campaign has closed, you’ll see a clear notice.
You may then choose to place an entry into the next campaign as a
carry-forward entry credit.
Important (carry-forward credit)
- Carry-forward credits are only created when you explicitly agree that the current campaign is closed.
- Your entry applies to the next campaign (not the closed one).
- Once submitted as a carry-forward credit, it cannot be reversed.
This prevents confusion and ensures nobody can later claim, “I thought I was entering the draw that had already ended.”
5) How the winner is contacted
If you win, we contact you directly using the details provided at entry.
We confirm identity and eligibility, and then arrange the prize professionally.
If we can’t confirm a winner:
If a winner cannot be contacted within a reasonable timeframe, or eligibility cannot be confirmed, we reserve the right to select an alternate winner
from the same campaign’s eligible pool, in line with the Campaign Rules.
6) How the prize is confirmed
After the winner is confirmed, the available prize options are explained clearly and professionally.
The winner may then choose the standard prize option that applies to that campaign.
Standard prize confirmation rule
- The winner may choose the luxury experience plus the remaining portion of the 20% prize allocation in cash.
- Alternatively, the winner may choose 100% of the 20% verified net proceeds in cash.
- If the advertised luxury experience cannot take place for any reason, the winner receives 100% of the 20% verified net proceeds cash prize instead.
7) How results & final figures are published
After a winner is confirmed, we publish the winner status on our website.
We also publish a post-campaign recap with final figures once numbers are verified.
Where to see the outcome
- Winner Announcement — winner initials + region (or “Pending” until confirmed).
- Campaign Recap & Final Figures — participation totals, financial allocation and published transparency figures.
Common questions (quick, clear answers)
Do free entries really count the same?
Yes. Free entries are included in the same eligible pool and are treated equally in the random selection.
Can entries be added after a campaign closes?
No. Once a campaign closes, the entry pool is finalised and locked. Late entries are not accepted into that draw.
If you visit after closing, you may choose a carry-forward entry credit for the next campaign instead.
What if the winner can’t be reached?
If we cannot contact a winner within a reasonable period (or eligibility cannot be confirmed), we reserve the right to redraw from the eligible entry pool for that campaign, in line with our rules.
What if the luxury experience cannot go ahead?
If the advertised luxury experience cannot take place, the winner will instead receive 100% of the 20% verified net proceeds cash prize.
